If you are like I am you sometimes it's challenging to keep up with your Controlled Substances prescribing. There is usually several different places where you may prescribed one of these meds including your office, hospital, peripheral clinics, even at home or while driving. For me its usually in the office vs. the dialysis center. This can be a daunting task. Yet it's our legal responsibility to keep track of every controlled substance prescription that we as health care providers write. With the prevelance of drug diversion and our need to monitor for abuse, absolute record keeping is a must. That's when I decided my life would be so much easier with a simple easy to use device called the Controlled Substances Database. Controlled Substances Prescription Tracker: This takes the user to the main patient form where patients can either be added using the Add Patient Button or searched using 1 of 3 alphabetical drop down lists. Every App comes with a preset Passcode. This can easily be changed by using the Change Passcode Menu where the user will enter a new numeric 4 digit passcode.   The Comp list is a complete list of Controlled Substances in the United States. To transfer a med from the Comp list to the Fav list, simply highlight the med name and check the add box.   Highlight any individual takes the user to the Patient Database page. Lets start with the Fav and Complete checkboxs. The Fav List is a list of individual medications specific for each practitioner.
